Mitchell 300 Pro ... but what pro?

Sirs, i was already here with an account i cant login at these days.
I have in my hand a 300, very good conditions, which has Pro specs but... it doesnt have a number on the rear gold plate!
Can you help me? The only number on the reel is 5.4.03 on the foot

Thank you for posting the photos.
I suspect the number on your reel is actually S.4.03. and that would date it to circa 1987. Notice that your reel is marked "Made In France" which helps to confirm that date due to Mitchell closing the French factory's in 1988-89. The gold plate on your reel and on all Mitchell 300 Pro reels was sold unlabeled so your reel is as was made.

As Bill states the brass plate is blank from factory and is for personalizing the reel with yours or someone else's name. Hope this helps............
