it's a 440A. Early to the mid-eighties.

What is the script above the crank axle?

Hi, It looks like a gold Match script, also the black anti reverse lever dates it fairly well, depending on what's embossed on the foot which could be a letter and two numbers or just Mitchell or Mitchell Taiwan that would give the year much closer, last of the 440A reels a nice reel and a good gift, Allan
