Mitchell 204

Post by don309 »

I know I have said I didn't think I'd be buying anymore reels. But I couldn't pass this up. While walking the dog yesterday an elderly lady was trying to set up a yard sale. I saw a extendable net, I could use for Flounder/Fluke fishing. She told me her son was supposed be their to help her set up, and there was a little more fishing stuff in the garage, and I could go in and look. Croix (my dog) and the lady bonded right away, so I went in. At first I didn't see anything else I would want. So I figured I'd help her out and started bring boxes out for her. After about 7 trips, I noticed a Mitchell 204 in a box, in what I think is near mint condition. I brought it out to her and asked what she'd like for it, said since I brought all this stuff out just take it (free). Only having $20.00 I offered her that, and told her she could probably get 30 - 35 dollars for it. She said " your such a nice young man (lol I'm 70) give me $20.00 and take the net for free" So I did buy anther 204, and it's the nicest one I have bought.

Mitchell 204
Excellent looking reel

I came across on a 204 in a trade deal with a coworker

Not sure if its ever been used
I put 6lb mono and 1/4oz sinker to test castability.

Works great
