HOW TO ADD PICTURES TO YOUR POST

Post by Wallace Carney »

Hello Mates,

The first thing you do is place copies of your images on your desktop.

The next thing is to make sure each picture is no more than 750 pixels wide by resizing and/or cropping each picture.

Then go to the forum you want to make your post in and click on the Reply Button. If you're starting a new topic, just click on New Topic.

Then scroll down till you see this image and Click on the Attachments Tab:

Now Click on the "Add Files" Button:

Now find the image you want to upload and select image and then Click on the "Open" Button

Lastly, put your courser where you want to place the image, then Click on the "Place Inline" Button

Your photo has been added but you won't see it until you Click on Preview or Submit Buttons. I hope this answers your questions but if not, just ask.

Kind Regards, Wallace

I had a hard time adding pictures, when I first started. I take my photos with my phone and were always oversized (horizonal 1500 pixels).
I am not real computer savvy guy!! So this is what I do. I send the pictures to my computer via email. I save them in a folder. I run windows 10 on the computer. Open the the folder right click on the photo, open with paint. Click resize pixels horizonal 550 pixel. Than rotate to crop. When you exit Paint hit save. Now my picture is ready.
I'm sure there are other ways to do this, but for dummies 101 on a computer like me, hope this helps

Hi Don,

Thanks for helping others, that's very kind of you. In most image programs like Paint, you'll find a button to resize image. I use a Mac and don't have a Paint program but the image you just posted shows a resize button. Please try it and see what happens.

Best Wishes, Wallace

I usually post pictures from my phone. Have an android that I downloaded a free ap. Photo & Picture Resizer. Blue squares in color. After taking a picture to post online I open the ap and pick picture to be resized. Resize and delete the 1st picture. Then do as this post by Wallace to put picture or pictures here. So far, so good............

I think that is using Windows Paint Don? I have read that this will soon be discontinued and replaced by Windows Paint 3D...that said, I read it on my PC I bought in 2020 and it still works fine.

Before I had Windows 10 I used to download the image re-sizer from Brice Lampton, which is basically the re-sizer from Windows 98 again.
